Jason Statham discussed his experience working in action films, working with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and how his life has changed since becoming a father. The seasoned action star said his chemistry with “The Rock” is what makes “Hobbs & Shaw” work.
“The thing about Dwayne is I think you can never go to some of the places we go to, in terms of the fun and the humor of it, if you really didn’t like each other,” he said. “We have a great respect for each other and that’s part of it.”
Director David Leitch's new film, “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” stars Statham as Shaw and Johnson as Hobbs. “Hobbs & Shaw” also stars Idris Elba as Brixton and Vanessa Kirby as Hattie.
Though Statham is no stranger to action, stunts and martial arts, he says the fighting in the new “Fast & Furious” movie isn’t a breeze.
“You can never go, ‘Right, I know everything now,’” he explained. “It’s a continuation of learning and more knowledge and honing all your skills and I think that’s part of the appeal.”
“Hobbs & Shaw” is out in theaters now — and with so much star power in one movie, it’s bound to be an entertaining watch.
